It has such a stronger connection between reader and charactors and makes it damn near unbearable to read each ones fate. With Harry Potter on the other hand, I found my self bored because she swung and missed at that fully painful compasion writers try to get the readers to feel when they must go into the clearing at the end of the path. I love the Dark Tower series and for a while its be consuming my life, though it only took me 3 months to read all 7. Also a note on the Gunslinger Born comics.... look for brand new ones coming this february!!!!
